Expressive, pristine, concentrated. Spearhead's winery and home vineyard (the Gentleman Farmer Vineyard) are located in South East Kelowna but they also have Coyote Vineyard in West Kelowna and the Golden Retreat Vineyard near Summerland, where this Pinot Gris hails from. The grapes are hand harvested and whole bunch pressed; 90% is cold fermented in stainless steel, the remaining in 2-year-old French oak barrels.
The purity of this wine is constantly noteworthy and the 2022 is no exception. Expect lovely notes of creamy pear and peaches, pineapple and pomelo, honey and wildflowers. It has purity with notable fruit expression and concentration. Bright and buoyant it is slick with an apple-y finish. br>Pair: Crab cakes served with spicy peach salsa, chicken salad or creamy pastas.
